Things to do

Cornwall doesn't exactly struggle for things to offer. Here's a little of what's on your doorstep.

Nearby

Looe
The nearest town if you’re staying at the shepherd’s huts, about 15 minutes by car (or reachable by the little branch-line train from Treworgey Farm). A proper Cornish fishing town with good seafood, a beach, and a harbour full of boats. Not overly touristy, still very much itself.

Polperro
One of the prettiest villages in Cornwall - a tiny harbour, whitewashed cottages, and no cars allowed in the centre. Well worth an hour or two. Also the nearest village to the Watch House.

Fowey
A little further along the coast, Fowey is one of our favourite places in Cornwall. Independent shops, excellent restaurants, a ferry across the estuary, and some of the best coastal walking in the county.

The South West Coast Path
Some of the most dramatic coastal walking in England passes right through this part of Cornwall. Day walks along the cliffs between Looe, Polperro and Polruan are spectacular. Right on your doorstep if you’re staying at The Watch House

Beaches

You're surrounded by them. Looe, Seaton, Lansallos, Lantic, Whitsand Bay, and Kingsand are all within easy reach. For surfing, Polzeath and Widemouth Bay are about an hour away.

Eden Project
About 45 minutes' drive- worth a visit if you haven't been, particularly for families.

On the farm (shepherd’s huts only)

Horse riding
We have a riding school and horses on site at Treworgey. Whether you're an experienced rider or a complete beginner, we can usually arrange a ride for you. Just let us know when you book and we'll sort something out. Our weight limit is 12.5 stone.

Swimming
The farm has a heated outdoor swimming pool, open in the warmer months and available to guests in the shepherd's huts.

Tennis
A tennis court is available on site — bring your rackets.

Farm walks

150 acres of Cornish farmland to explore, with footpaths taking you through the valley and up to the higher ground. The views over the Looe River are particularly good.

Please note: farm facilities are available to guests in the shepherd's huts only, not the Watch House.
